Screen Actor's Guild
Rose Byrne in Elie Saab. Certainly a risk, but of course, she pulls it off amazingly!
Lea Michele in Versace. SO much better than her Golden Globes look. She looks tiny and fantastic here!
Tilda Swinton in Lanvin. Simple yet gorgeous.
Meryl Streep in Vivienne Westwood. It's so nice to see a celebrity in something age appropriate, and to also see someone wearing one of my favorite designers on the red carpet!
Angelina Jolie in Jenny Packham. Angelina is always just so flawless... I would absolutely love to wear this dress.
Michelle Williams in Valentino. Michelle is always my favorite! She looks killer, just as she did at the Golden Globes! I'm already excited to see what she wears to the Oscars!

18th Birthday
I can't believe I am eighteen. Goodbye childhood, hello adulthood, I suppose. It's actually sort of scary.
I had a fabulous birthday filled with many celebrations and lots of family and friend time!
I kicked off my birthday celebrations on Thursday with a dinner at Max Brenner's with my friends and boyfriend:
SO delicious and SO much fun. A couple of friends stayed over afterwards and we had great conversation and played bananagrams <3 My friends gave me two hello kitty sparkly nail polish, a hello kitty mirror, Kris Jenner's book, earring sets, american express gift cards, and the rest of my gifts haven't arrived yet. :)
Friday was pretty low-key, but my boy slept over so we could wake up together on my birthday! Damien ended up giving me my presents on Friday. I absolutely loved all of them, he knows me so well:
Saturday was absolutely amazing. I woke up with a nasty little cold but I didn't let it damper my spirits. My mama made chocolate croissants for us to eat while we opened my presents. My parents were so generous this year, I suppose because this was my biggest birthday so far! My main gift was the iPhone 4S, but I also got these:
and I also got a new dotted robe from Anthropologie and 2 shirts and 2 skirts from Splendid!
After opening my gifts, Damien and I went on the hunt for an iPhone case! I ended up getting a black and white dotted one with pink sides from Kate Spade. We then cabbed it over to St. Marks to go to Jebon. We both got our usuals; sashimi appetizer & miso soup for me, and 3 avocado cucumber rolls & an orange soda for my boy! Afterwards we got frozen yogurt from 16 Handles (my favorite) and Damo even had some even though he doesn't usually like sweet things.
After playing Guitar Hero and cuddling for a bit, we got ready to go out to Southern Hospitality --Justin Timberlake's restaurant that we previously went to with Chris Rock...yes, with Chris Rock, meaning at his table, hanging out with him...
top- Hyden Yoo, skirt- Akira, tights- Calvin Klein, shoes- Jeffrey Campbell, and I also used a green bow clutch from Urban Outfitters
The food at Southern Hospitality was amazing, as we already expected it to be. For starters we shared fried tomatoes, 1lb of shrimp, and a black eyed pea salad. Mmm! For main courses, my mum got the fish tacos, my dad got the salmon, Damien got the mac & cheese, and I got the amazing shrimp salad with romaine lettuce, half an avocado, cherry tomatoes, chili lime vinaigrette, bbq drizzle and fried tortilla strips (although I took all of these off except one and then choked on it... and I also ended up using more bbq sauce than the vinaigrette which I got on the side...still amazing though!)
After Southern Hospitality we cabbed it back downtown to St. Marks to go to Spot Dessert Bar. We had to wait about 45 minutes for a table, but it was so worth it! We ordered the green tea chocolate lava cake, the soft cheesecake and the Thai tea creme brulee. I also got a raspberry rose macaroon for myself! I ended up eating the majority of the desserts (oops!) as they were just so damn good! (We started eating before I had time to take the photos, oops!!)
All in all, it was a fabulous birthday, and I really enjoyed myself.
Tomorrow is my brother's and Thursday is my dad's, so the celebration really never stops!

NYE :)
WOO! I am so glad that 2011 is over. It has certainly been a stressful and dramatic year. I have high hopes for this year at least though.
Last night:
and my outfit:
shorts- Silence & Noise, black tank top- Petite Bateau, sweater- H&M, shoes- Jeffrey Campbell, ring- ASOS [from my boyfriend <3], and necklace- Forever 21
And for future reference, my New Year's resolutions:
- make healthy choices
- but also maintain a healthy weight and not lose anymore weight
- go to the gym and work on building muscle
- stay on high honor roll
- go out and actually have fun on weekends
- be a good girlfriend and do my all for Damien
- get a fashion-related internship
- learn more about film and try to make some short films
- photograph more
- be more trusting
- and I'm sure I'll think of some more!
I hope all your NYEs were fabulous and that you have lovely 2012s!
xo
