I used to be completely adverse to pairing blue with black. Maybe it's because black and blue reminds me of bruises, or maybe it's just because I had never matched up the right shades of black and blue before. Wherever my abhorrence of the two colors together may have stemmed from, this outfit has totally reversed my woes (that might just be because my top is Alexander Wang)
This was the first time I debuted this tank top since my mum gave it to me for my birthday. I wasn't sure how to watch it due to the razorback and front, but I found that this Brandy Melville bandeau is perfect for layering underneath as it doesn't reveal too much or look awkward.
tank- T by Alexander Wang // skirt- American Apparel // bandeau- Brandy Melville // bag- Cambridge Satchel // watch- Marc Jacobs // necklace- Maya Brenner
Even though I've gotten over my fear of blue and black together I still feel iffy about matching brown and black or green and pink together. Am I the only the only one with these strange color-rules?

I absolutely love everything as separates, and how you put them together! I want it all! you look fabulous. I love blue and black together (i wear that like...90% of the time..haha!) but I have a hard time wearing any brown...cant do it!!
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome though & i'm sure you could rock blue and black!

Love how comfy this outfit looks! And I'm sort of the same way but it becomes much easier for me because I don't have much color in my warbrobe anyway. Blue/orange, pink/green, blue/yellow are all strange combos for me to wear. I can see someone like Blair from A&P pulling off those combos though...she's basically the master of color blocking and color coordination :P
